Please welcome to the Diplomats of Sound roster and family, the wonderful: JACKSON MATHOD! Jackson Mathod is a multi-instrumentalist and singer. Drawing on influences from the likes of Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove and Christian Scott to name a few. 

Afro Cluster is a Cardiff-born collective inspired by the legacy of West-African funk/Afrobeat and golden age Hip-Hop. The creative ethos behind their work is to instigate love and hope in an increasingly hostile world.

Not many rappers can boast that their first ever live performance was at London’s O2 Arena, supporting hip hop legend, Nas. Such was the talent of Coops, who at 23-years-old won Choice FM’s Breakthrough Competition, and the chance to perform alongside one of his formative influences.

TC & The Groove Family are a 10-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the unity that music can provide for everyone. They explore grooves and genres from the UK and around the world, including afrobeat, breakbeat, jungle, jazz and highlife.

Its been a while since we welcomed some fresh names to the Diplomats of Sound roster, but this one we have been working on for a little while! It is our great honour to announce that we have taken on the funkiest forte from Canada: Stephen Lewis & his Big Band of Fun!

We are delighted to announce that LayFullStop will be joining the Diplomats of Sound roster. LayFullStop is a female hip hop / soul artist from Manchester, by way of Birmingham.

With over 40 albums, four-time Grammy® Award-winner Stanley Clarke has attained “living legend” status. Born in Philadelphia, Clarke has been a constant force of nature in American music since the early 1970s with the success of the jazz-fusion group Return To Forever.

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. At the age of nine, Seun expressed the wish to sing to his father. A short while later Seun started performing with his father and the band, until his father’s untimely death in 1997.

Award-winning David Murray’s talent is expressed in a prolific career in both production and musical direction (from the World Saxophone Quartet to his big band and the Caribbean jazz fusion of the Gwo Ka Masters). alongside the greatest musicians.

Sly5thAve is the project of multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer Sylvester Uzoma Onyejiaka II, whose sophisticated compositions are shaped by his faith in hip hop, and deep understanding of soul and jazz. On 17th November 2017, Sly5thAve released his most impressive LP to date – ‘The Invisible Man: An Orchestral Tribute to Dr. Dre’.
